I love going to eat delicious food by car or motorcycle, visiting places with rich nature, and having new experiences!

For 20 years, I've been dedicated to the beauty industry, and now, while running a private salon, I cherish the time I spend engaging with my new "likes."

My encounter with Loper was a shock.

I can make my own shoes?!

I immediately signed up for a workshop.

The warmth of the leather and the sense of accomplishment when finished.

I was captivated by the warmth of the shoes created by my own hands, and began working as an instructor.

The first time I encountered LOPER, it was truly a shock!

The high degree of freedom for shoes that can be worn outdoors and completed in a single day, and the variety of patterns available to match the unique sole, are truly groundbreaking.  

My guiding principle, which I also prioritize in my leather stationery workshops, is "make your own original item in a workshop → because you make it yourself, you can repair it and cherish it for a long time."

So, I traveled four hours to attend a workshop.

My first shoemaking experience was a time of freedom, full of accomplishment and satisfaction.
I was completely enchanted by its charm.

The first time I saw it on Instagram, I was shocked!

A shoe workshop? Can it be made in about 5 hours? Can it be customized using various leathers? I was surprised that it could even be repaired!

As someone who dreamed of becoming a shoemaker, I immediately decided I wanted to be a certified instructor, so I bought and made three pairs of shoes!

I was so moved by the finished product. They're adorable!!

I hope to share the excitement and emotion of making my first Loper shoes with leather lovers and fashion enthusiasts in Kagoshima.

I usually produce and sell "Kogin-zashi," a traditional craft from Aomori Prefecture.

Kogin-zashi is a type of sashiko embroidery, and in the feudal era, it was a way to protect against the harsh cold.
Women in Aomori sought "beauty" in it, and competed to create enchanting and beautiful patterns.

I use these beautiful patterns with colors and designs that fit modern times, creating items that are easy for daily use.

When I encountered Loper shoes,
I thought, "If I combine Kogin-zashi with shoes, it would be truly unique...!"
"And if I could make them from scratch myself...!!"
My excitement was unstoppable, and my heart danced.

The time spent moving my hands, stitch by stitch, to create a form is
a luxurious and happy moment.

At madeni, in addition to regular Loper shoes,
we can also offer Loper shoes workshops with an Aomori touch.

I would be delighted to share the warmth of handmade crafts and an exciting time with you.

I've loved "fabric" as a material since long ago. Just looking at it calms my mind, and my imagination expands, wondering what to create.

Now that I've entered my second life, I'm newly devoted to the world of "handmade shoes." The time spent sewing each stitch, making shoes that fit my feet perfectly, with my favorite fabrics, leather, or fabrics filled with memories, is a precious moment that cannot be replaced.

I'm thrilled every day to breathe new life into small fabric scraps I kept, kimonos, and obis, transforming those special fabrics into one-of-a-kind shoes.
I pour my individuality into each stitch, taking light steps into a new future.

Until now, I have held workshops on making baskets using "Gettou," a familiar plant in Okinawa, conveying the charm of Gettou and the joy of crafting.

That's where I encountered Loper Shoes.

"Can you really make shoes in one day?"

That excited feeling when I participated in the workshop was the beginning.

Choosing the leather I like, cutting the pattern, stitching the threads one by one, and sewing it to the sole.

Every step was a first for me, and I realized anew that there are crafting moments that move my heart so much, no matter how old I get.
