Loper Soleskit(with Needle and the Thread)
Feel free to choose the material at a DIY shop.
Genuine leather or synthetic leather 2 mm or more soft type is preferable
Thin materials are less durable and may not be stable in shape.
If you would like a set that includes all the materials and shoelaces, please see the shoe kit.
Choose the size
The size may vary slightly depending on the brand and model, so please refer to the table below and compare it with the size of the shoes you usually wear.

Choose a style you want to make.
You can choose from 5 types: Plain, Macalon, Derby, High top, Lofer.

As an example, I will show you how to make a type of shoes called Derby.
Cut out along the line with a cutter or scissors.
Let's make a hole in the cut out pattern.
Follow the pattern and mark the materials you want to use with a pen.

After drawing all the shoes on the left side, turn it over and draw the shoes on the right side as well.
There are right and left shoe patterns.
It's good to write on each patterns, 'right' or 'left' to prevent the mistake.

Cut out the materials along the trace line and punch the holes.

After cutting all the patterns, temporarily fix the left and right parts with masking tape at the correct positions.

Put the thread through the two needles. The upper and sole will be connected with a 'saddle stitch'.
Insert a needle in position A and thread the threads until both threads are the same length.

Sew to point D with needle 1.

After sewing needle 2 to point D, stab needle 1 into position D on the sole.

Step10
let's start sewing the uppers and soles together.

For the final, double sew both threads and cut at the ends.

Put the insole and put the string through to complete!

Our dream for the near future is to develop kids size LOPER's so kids can make their own shoes too.
Shoe manufacturing often is a unhealthy and harmful industry, for workers and environment.
Stop buying shoes and start making them :)
It's fun to do and such a great feeling to walk on your selfmade shoes!

What you make
Please try on the samples and then decide.
Each instructor has a different selection of materials.
★ For those who want to experience it easily in 2-3 hours.
★★ You can make shoes that incorporate the basics of LOPER. We recommend beginners start here.
★★★ Many parts and possibilities mean more work. If you're used to crafting, you'll have no problem making this.
★★★★ Many holes to punch and many parts mean a lot of work.
★★★★★ We recommend making this as your second pair after making your first and understanding the basics of LOPER.

More than 90% of the shoes you see every day are manufactured using adhesives.
Many of the adhesives used are solvent-based.
They volatilize as they bond, producing toxic fumes.
That's why shoe factories require ventilation equipment.
However, complete exhaust is not possible.
Normally, shoemaking requires expensive equipment and skilled techniques.
We aim to create high-quality products that incorporate local characteristics and use local materials, without mass production.
By creating a system where people can purchase these products from trusted sources, we aim to build a cycle where both users and makers can become prosperous and happy.
