Shoemaking Workshop & Class | Complete Your Own Pair of Shoes in One Day |

【mokoram】Yomitan Village, Okinawa Prefecture I have always loved fabric as a material. Just looking at it calms my mind, and my imagination soars with ideas of what to create. Now that I am in my second stage of life, I am newly engrossed in the world of "handmade shoes." The time spent stitching each shoe by hand, using my favorite fabrics, leather, or textiles filled with memories, to make a shoe that fits my foot perfectly, is a luxury beyond compare. I am thrilled every day to breathe new life into small fabric scraps I couldn't bear to throw away, or into kimonos and obis, transforming them into unique shoes—one-of-a-kind in the world—that are adorned with these special fabrics. I put my individuality into each stitch, taking light steps forward into a new beginning. |

【iroiro Shuri Workshop】Shuri, Okinawa Prefecture The joy of creating with your own hands is special. Until now, I have held workshops on basket weaving using "getto" (shell ginger), a familiar plant in Okinawa, conveying the charm of getto and the fun of crafting. That's where I discovered Loper Shoes. "Can you really make shoes in one day?" The workshop I attended with such an excited feeling was the beginning. Choosing my favorite leather, cutting out the pattern, and threading each stitch to sew it to the sole. Every step was a first for me, and it made me realize anew that no matter how old you are, there are still crafting experiences that can move your heart so deeply. Just like how I felt back then, "I want to make one too!" Anyone can do it if they have that feeling ♡ Won't you join me in making a one-of-a-kind pair of shoes, uniquely yours?

More than 90% of the shoes you see every day are manufactured using adhesives.
Many of the adhesives used are solvent-based.
They volatilize as they bond, producing toxic fumes.
That's why shoe factories require ventilation equipment.
However, complete exhaust is not possible.
Normally, shoemaking requires expensive equipment and skilled techniques.
We aim to create high-quality products that incorporate local characteristics and use local materials, without mass production.
By creating a system where people can purchase these products from trusted sources, we aim to build a cycle where both users and makers can become prosperous and happy.
